Heavy Hitter’s Camp
The Heavy Hitter Ocean State Waves Baseball Camp allows young athletes to train with semi-professional baseball players. We have been lucky enough to sponsor this camp for a few years now. This camp is an amazing opportunity for the children to get outdoors and advance their baseball skills. Additionally, the children learn valuable lessons in sportsmanship, leadership, passion for the game, and community. The campers get mentored by responsible and successful young adults, while still having fun as a team.
“It is amazing to see these kids practice their skills with professionals,” says Mr.Levine. “Not only do you see their improvement in the game, but you also see them come out of their shells.” It is a truly humbling experience to see these kids become better at the sport that they are passionate about.
Heavy Hitter Scholarships
Every year, Rob Levine & Associates provide 15 scholarships for this camp. The scholarships are awarded to passionate, young athletes that, without the scholarship, would not be able to experience this opportunity. This past summer we conducted two camps in Rhode Island, and the kids had a ball (literally). From learning the basics of the sport to playing with professional baseball players, the campers were exposed to the game and all of the valuable lessons surrounding it.
The scholarships are open to anyone in the Rhode Island area that may need financial assistance sending their child to camp. It is very easy to submit an application on Rob Levine & Associates website or Ocean State Waves.
